Company History 
In the 1850's French immigrant, Martial Billeaud, working as a wheelwright in Vermilionville (now Lafayette), began the long history of Billeaud family involvement in this area of Louisiana. He later acquired land which would become the Billeaud Plantations. From those humble beginnings, the Billeaud Companies have diversified into varied business areas. The property known as the Plantations is on the outskirts of Lafayette, Louisiana adjacent to the city of Broussard. As the center of oil and gas exploration and production onshore and offshore for the Gulf Coast region, the area has abundant energy resources.
