James "Tex" Plumley

As the president of Billeaud Companies, James "Tex" Plumley, has had an integral part in the economic development of communities in the area for over 25 years. With over 3000 acres of land owned by the company, Tex has successfully developed two industrial parks, landing major companies such as Roadway Packaging Services, as well as a strip shopping center and an Albertson's.

Eugene S. "Gene" Wakefield

As vice-president of Billeaud Companies, Gene works in all areas of the day-to- day operations of the various investment properties. He has over 20 years of commercial real estate experience and holds a CCIM Designation. Gene has also been active in the economic development of Lafayette Parish first as a volunteer for the Broussard Economic Development Committee and then as Director of Recruitment for the Lafayette Economic Development Authority. Gene also works with Tex Plumley on the development of the various Billeaud Companies retail, industrial, and residential projects.

Jennifer Whitmore

As Commercial Leasing Executive for the Billeaud Companies, Jennifer works on the day-to-day operations of all our commercial properties as well as negotiating new leases and renewing existing leases. She attended UL of Lafayette and also attended the Community Development Institute where she gained crucial knowledge needed for planning the future of communities in the area.
